Apart from the good machinability, corrosion resistance, higher strength properties, brass extrusion rods have other added benefits over SS and Aluminum Rods. Brass Extruded Rods can be customized in various shapes like Round, Hex and Square, which are available for wide variety of engineering applications.

Some low tolerance components can be much cheaper than Aluminum or SS. The swarf resulting of the machining of Brass rods gives fine small chips which are easier to clean and it reduces machine tool scour and use of cooling lubrication, whereas aluminum give a constant buildup of swarfing when machining resulting in faster tool wearing. SS Products can be two to five times more expensive than similar item made in brass.
